Then the hemisphere is moved slightly by angle φ (see picture below).Assume that the hemisphere is always in contact with the ball and also assume that the ball never moves. I get the answer as 15g sin(phi)/16
but given answer is 3g sin(phi)/4
I have used the fact that the distance of the c.g. of a solid hemisphere from its base = 3R/8
